Gender Reveal

March 31st, 2012 was your Mommy's 30th birthday and by far the most memorable of all because of you! Daddy and I went for your anatomy ultrasound on March 23rd  and had so much fun seeing you again!  You obviously didn't realize what a big day it was for us because you yawned and lazily stretched for your toes above your head... then fell back asleep  :) We, on the other hand, were on edge with excitement and reluctantly turned our heads when we got to the part where we could tell if you were a boy or girl.
The technician said within seconds of us turning our heads that she knew what you were! Mommy was convinced from that point on that you were a boy, and Daddy still thought maybe you were a girl. But all we had to look at was your little foot to make our guesses :) We took the secret results to the bakery instantly after the appointment and had a cake made for you with the surprise of your gender inside--represented by either pink or blue!

We had so much fun decorating for the party!

All your family either wore pink or blue--and some innovative outfits of large diapers and headbands were worn as well :) Even "precious moments" cards were worn by the Rosenbergs to represent a very " precious moment" back when your mom was little herself.   She climbed  up your Great Grandma Klein's  shelf of Precious Moments  and caused many of them to come crashing down, shattering everywhere!

Back to the our party, everyone then  selected either a  mustache if they thought you were a boy and red lips if they thought girl !

You're Great Grandpa Klein always manages to get the bunny ears in :)

Aunt Kateri read aloud some fun old wives tales which concluded by a close margin that you were to be a BOY!

Then we did two more tests with a key and wedding band and both of those confirmed BOY!

Grandma Klein's  kindergarten class all voted and thought you would be a BOY!

Despite the crowd leaning towards you being a girl all the odds were pointing to you being a BOY... and MOST importantly Mommy really thought you were a BOY :)

 Drum roll..........

You're .............

A....................

                                                                  Boy!!!!!!!!!!!

Tears of joy overwhelmed your Mom, and Dad really needed to confirm these results before truly celebrating, so we opened the envelope from your ultrasound and there is was ...the little turtle sign!

Then your father couldn't stop smiling his proud father smile!

Even all of Mom's work friends overwhelming voted that you were a BOY!

(Doesn't your dad look funny with his long, nose hair mustache? :)  )

You were the most incredible surprise birthday gift Baby Boy and you're Mommy and Daddy  are having so much fun and couldn't be any happier to get to know more about you each day!!!!!!

Gifts for you

We are all  are already getting showered with gifts of love from your Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents and Dad!

Auntie Tori,  Uncle Dan and cousin Madi sent us beautiful roses to celebrate "our budding family"!

Aunt Kateri handmade some burp clothes ( in mommy's favorite colors) that are almost too cute to let you spit up all over :) You are so fortunate to have 8 cousins ahead of you, so Aunt Beth has already given you some itsy bitsy onesies ( that her very healthy babies could never squeeze in to :) )and Auntie Rachel has a bassinet ready to be placed in our bedroom for you to sleep right next to us when you arrive!

Grammy and Grampy are preparing for instant cuddling when you enter this world with an adorable wrap, socks and mittens! Grandma and Grandpa Klein and Great Grandma Bevan have given you a beautiful cradle that has been passed along in the family since the 1800's!

Your Daddy has really spoiled your mommy by adding 40 more diamonds to her wedding ring, celebrating our blessed marriage and  in honor of the new precious addition you will be to our family:)

13 Weeks and Growing

Here we are at 13 weeks and you are the size of a strawberry!

You have grown so much in just 6 weeks and are now the size of a mango or the size of our hand ( 19 weeks, 6 in., 0.5 lbs)! It is incredible to think that we could hold you in just one of our hands right now:) We are so unbelievably excited to find out whether you are going to be a boy or girl in less than 2 weeks! Somehow we are going to find the strength to resist looking at the ultrasound when this moment comes (that is if you cooperate) so we can share this surprise with all your equally enthused family on March 31st( also your mom's big 30th birthday). She is so happy to have something so miraculous to add to the celebration on this day (and very willing to let you overshadow the fact that she is entering a new decade)!

At 16 weeks I informed your Daddy that the tiny bones in your ears were created this week and that you could hear our voices when speaking or singing! We were so excited about this news that we instantly began to include you in on our singing and conversations....even the slightly heated ones, in calm voices though ,one debate went like this as your Mommy was eating an Oreo cupcake just prior to dinner...

Dad: " Dear Baby,  please don't be like your Mother and think eating dessert right before dinner is acceptable. "
Mom: "Dear  Baby, please don't be like your stick in the mud Father and fail to realize the beauty of occasionally defying order to embrace the sweeter things in life."   :):):)

The passive aggressive, sarcastic talks with you are very infrequent and joyful songs and stories dominate our conversations with you! Your Daddy gave this book as a gift to your Auntie Beth and Uncle Gabe and we have since borrowed it back to read to you about all the adventures that are just waiting  for you and us once you arrive! Your father has an incredible reading voice that works well to calm us both and aids in providing a rapid descent into a comfortable slumber:) He loves his "Babies," as he refers to us often, sooooooo much and takes amazing care of us:)

For example, he surprises Mommy with pretty, perfectly matching flowers with the kitchen decor and goes to the grocery store to fill the fridge with some of " our"  favorite cravings right now,( clementines and chick- fila- sauce ..on everything!) as well as ensuring there are  plenty of  healthy meal options that he daily provides for us! We are so very fortunate to have him in our lives and I have no doubt that he will be as outstanding of a father as he is a husband!
